The seventies were full of flattering trends that you will love. Platform shoes definitely defined the 70s. Bow-blouses are another throwback and they look amazing with flared trousers and jackets. This trend is good for balancing large shoulders and large chests.

Crochet & macrame : These are two fabric finishes that had to return for 2011 due to the rise of 70s fashion.
Tassels : Adorning everything from handbags to shoes to dresses and hats.
Bell bottoms : The ultimate 70's trousers.
Capri pants : If you can't do flares you're in luck as these are in.
Jumpsuits & playsuits : They're still in but they may not come back again so get your wear out of them whilst they are hot.
Maxi dress : The maxi takes on a sexy edge this summer.
Biker clothing & Punk fashion : both continue into Summer.

Clogs: Clunky wooden shoes. It doesn't sound like the most practical of footwear trends, and yet the clog reached new heights in 2010 and will continue to make an impact on 2011's footwear trends. The brass studding so prevalent in 2010 will continue to be influential, while the clog's overall popularity will wane.

Kitten Heels: Kitten heels are making a comeback, spurred on by the trend of '50s and '60s dressing. More comfortable yet less appealing than their higher counterparts, kitten heels can work particularly well when dainty, pointed, and either retro-inspired or minimalist.
